Capacity Market Consultation Response

In early March, MPR responded to the Capacity Market Consultation issued by BEIS and DESNZ in January of this year. The consultation asked for industry feedback on key policy proposals to reform the UK’s Capacity Market. We also contributed to the Energy UK response on this consultation. Key to our response was our concern that the Capacity Market was moving away from the original intent to ensure security of supply, become too complex and ultimately driving up costs for consumers.
